ON LINE BOOKING TO START IN MAY

Dear Members,
 
Once renewals are complete we will be starting to use the Fastcourts system for all court bookings – the sheets on the notice boards will disappear.
 
You should all receive an email welcoming you to the booking system.
 
Currently all members are in a suspended state until the beginning of May but please take a look at the site so you are familiar with it.
The password allocated needs to be remembered so keep the email handy and make a note of your system password for when you want to book a court
 
Please note the blocked out times for Coaching and Club Social Sessions have been added so the on line system will be the same as we are used to on the notice board.
Later we will add the match times so you will also see when you can play during the YLTA tennis season.

Clubhouse – next steps.

Dear Members,

Over the next few months we will be completing the refurbishment of the clubhouse as well as completing the electrical work related to the new toilet extension.

Here is a summary of the work being planned, any questions just ask!

Misterton Tennis Clubhouse

Electrical work for new toilet and existing clubhouse given the go ahead. 

Toilet extension

Interior works –

Within actual toilet area fit cleanable splash backs behind wash hand basin and toilet seat areas, fit existing clubhouse mirror above wash hand basin

Apply hard wearing washable paint finish to all extension interior walls, ceiling  and door

Install a drop-down hand rail to the left hand side of the toilet basin

Fit shelving/cupboards to toilet lobby area on plain wall to left hand side upon entry

Exterior works –

Install guttering to new roofing with drainage to existing provision.

Clubhouse

Interior works –

Fit low wattage heater below clubhouse sink unit if considered necessary

Assess need and cost of providing heat loss insulation to inside of all clubhouse exterior walls.

Exterior works –

Remove original end wall boarding, currently rotted by damp, replacing with new boards and sealing joints.

February Update

Hi All,

We have a busy year ahead with the new toilet facilities up and working but more to do as well as a number of exciting plans for 2019.

Coaching has started well but John Barrington our qualified coach is always looking for new prospective adult or child players – contact John for details.

We are investigating the use of on line court booking to make it easier for those members who do not live near the courts – more to follow on that but we would appreciate your views – please comment below.

We are again planning to have a Pimms stand at the Misterton Fete but are looking for someone to organise it this year due to holidays – we have a working plan and process to make it a success – just needs a keen person or persons who can organise things. There will be a number of helpers to man the stand during the day to assist. Again please comment below or contact me.

Finally the new annual event programme is now posted so take a look and book time in your diaries – for social events you can register to attend either at the club our by using the comments section.
